Kiss Of The Vampire

Review by horror-movies.ca
A small, sleepy town is suddenly overrun with a coven of alleged sexy vampires. The police enlist a vampire slayer's help but things are made more difficult for them by the fact that a group of rich, upper class businessmen, calling themselves the Illuminati, want to keep them alive long enough to buy themselves some immortality. Only a good vampire can save them now...luckily, one of the bad vampires falls in love with a human and changes his evil ways...

The story is fairly standard vampire fare anyway but it is very badly acted, the script is awful, the effects, such as they are, are terrible, the vampires occasionally forget they're vampires and start walking like zombies, they roar like lions... and it has a midget in it, for no apparent reason. The good vampire, who gets his blood via transfusions, is the only vampire in the world with the power to transport to another location - not disappear in a puff of smoke but actually transport himself, and any vampires around him, as if this was an episode of Star Trek. You can work out that this point, made near the start, was going to be very significant later.

Chev comes to some time later as an Asian woman is taking his temperature (rectally). Two doctors come in and talk about their plans to remove more of Chev's organs, including his penis. Chev beats up the doctors and stands up. He notices a yellow battery pack is attached to him, which he leaves on, and walks down the hall. The other rooms contain prostitutes, and he steals a set of clothes from one of the rooms without the occupants noticing. Push 2009

Synopsis by movies.msn.com
Lucky Number Slevin director Paul McGuigan takes the helm for this action thriller concerning a group of telekinetic American ex-patriots who band together in an attempt to take down the clandestine government agency that's genetically transforming normal citizens into powerful psychic warriors. The Division is a shadowy government operation devoted to making humankind the ultimate weapon. Those who accept this transformation have the power to move objects with the mind, see the future before it happens, create new realities, and dispense of their enemies without so much as a single touch; those who are unwilling to participate are immediately terminated. Nick Gant (Chris Evans) is a "mover," a second-generation telekinetic who went into hiding after the Division killed his father more than a decade earlier. He lives a life of anonymity in Hong Kong, a densely populated place where fugitive psychics such as himself are safe as long as they can keep their unique gift secret. Suddenly into Nick's life comes 13-year-old "watcher" Cassie Holmes (Dakota Fanning), a clairvoyant who needs his help in tracking down escaped "pusher" Kira, who may hold the key to bringing down the Division once and for all. A "pusher" is the most powerful kind of psychic due to their ability to influence the actions of others by planting thoughts in their minds. Now, as Nick emerges from hiding in order to help Cassie find Kira, the Division's human bloodhounds are hot on their trail. In order to elude the authorities, they'll need to disappear into the seedy underbelly of the city while relying on a team of rogue psychics to help cover their tracks. But Division Agent Henry Carver (Djimon Hounsou) is a powerful "pusher" who has made it his mission to stop them at all costs, regardless of the collateral damages that may occur in the process.~ Jason Buchanan
